If you love the idea of making something slowly, by hand, with a little meaning stitched into every piece, then Heather & Co. Patterns is a shop worth knowing. It sells digital sewing and embroidery patterns that draw on the Irish wild, such as hedgerow flowers and woodland branches. What’s more, every pattern arrives as an instant PDF download, so you can find a project in the evening and have it printed and ready on your table the same night.

Below, we look at who is behind the brand, how the collections work together, what you actually get when you buy a pattern, and which designs suit beginners.

Who Is Behind Heather & Co. Patterns?

Heather & Co. is Lisa’s pattern shop. However, she’s quick to point out that the “Co.” part of the name is actually you, the maker. During the last two years, Lisa has been learning to sew, embroider, quilt and smock. She describes it as slow, therapeutic work that brought her comfort during seasons of loss.

What started as a way to keep her hands busy soon became something much bigger. Along the way, she also found a community of people who shared the same love of making. As a result, that feeling of company sits at the heart of the brand. As Lisa puts it, “just like the heather on the hills, we bloom best together.”

Sewing and Embroidery Patterns Inspired by the Irish Wild

Every Heather & Co. collection begins outdoors, where wildflowers, woodlands and the turning seasons shape each design. The aim is simple: slow down, notice what’s growing around you, and then make pieces you’ll want to keep for years.

At the moment, the shop splits its patterns into four main collections: the Wild Irish Flora Collection, the Eden Collection, the Makers’ Collection and the Festive
