These terms apply to everyone who creates an account or submits a business listing on LinkUp NI. By submitting a listing, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
LinkUp NI (linkupni.co.uk) is a Northern Ireland business directory run by LinkUp NI.
You can contact us at hello@linkupni.co.uk.
2. Who can list
- LinkUp NI is for genuine businesses based in Northern Ireland, or serving customers in Northern Ireland.
- Each listing must be for a real business and use its business or trading name. A service on its own, such as “Catering”, is not a business name.
- We do not accept MLM, network marketing or pyramid-style schemes.
- We do not accept businesses that are illegal, misleading or adult in nature.
- You must be the business owner, or have the owner’s permission to list the business.
3. Your account
- You need a free account to submit and manage a listing.
- Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for anything submitted from your account.
- Keep your contact details up to date so we can reach you about your listing.
- We may close accounts that break these terms, or that have been inactive for a long time.
4. How listings are reviewed
- Every listing is checked by our team before it goes live.
- We may edit a listing for spelling, formatting, category or clarity. We will not change the meaning of what you have written.
- We can refuse, pause or remove any listing at our discretion, including any listing that does not meet these terms. We do not have to give a reason.
- If we refuse a paid listing for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund you in full.
5. Your content
- You are responsible for making sure your listing is accurate, legal and up to date.
- You must own, or have permission to use, any logos, photos and text you upload.
- Do not make claims about other businesses, or include false reviews, prices or qualifications.
- By submitting a listing, you allow LinkUp NI to show your content on the website and share it on our social media to promote your business and the directory.
6. Free listings
- Free listings have no fee and no set end date.
- We may remove free listings that are out of date, or where the business appears to have closed.
- We may change what is included in a free listing in the future.
7. Featured listings
- A Featured Listing costs £47 and lasts for 12 months from the date it goes live.
- It includes priority placement, a Featured badge, a place in the Featured section of your local town page where one exists, and one SEO blog article about your business with a link to your website.
- Payment is taken securely at checkout through Stripe.
- If we do not approve your listing, we will refund your payment in full.
- Once your Featured Listing is live, payments are non-refundable, unless we remove it for a reason that is not your fault.
- Featured Listings do not renew automatically. We will contact you before the 12 months end. If you do not renew, your listing becomes a free listing.
- Your blog article will normally stay on the site after 12 months, but we may update or remove it at any time.
- We cannot guarantee any number of views, enquiries, rankings or sales.
8. Updating or removing a listing
- You can ask us to update or remove your listing at any time by emailing hello@linkupni.co.uk.
- If you believe a listing contains false, harmful or defamatory information about you or your business, email hello@linkupni.co.uk with the details.
- We aim to review reports within 5 working days. We may hide the content while we look into it.
9. Our liability
- We do our best to keep the directory accurate, but we cannot check every detail and we do not endorse the businesses listed.
- Any agreement between a customer and a listed business is between them. LinkUp NI is not part of it.
- We are not responsible for loss caused by website downtime, errors, or information supplied by businesses.
- Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Privacy
We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last changed.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of Northern Ireland.
